It WORKS BETTER, IS COST EFFECTIVE, EASY TO USE. It is a VAPOR/MOISTURE/INSULATOR and RADON PROTECTOR. Radon gas is the 2nd leading cause of Lung Cancer and builders should be aware that this product is a RADON Protector for their customers.

APPLICATIONS

The Barrier is a rolled foam board insulation of extruded expanded flexible recycled polystyrene foam (XPS) outstanding for radiant heat flooring systems (hydronic and electric), concrete insulation, snow melt systems, basement wrap, frost breaks, concrete stamping, pools, spas, cool decking and much more. Independent testing has proven that the BARRIER prevents 99.981% of the thermal transfer and 100% of the moisture transfer. Excellent use is under mobile/modular homes on slabs,( helps to keeps homes cooler in summers and warmer in winters). Using the Barrier under pools keeps water temperatures stable, extends liner life and reduces use of chemicals. In addition to all of its moisture barrier properties, it also has boron which is a naturally occurring termite resistor. Road construction projects also use the Barrier. Laminate flooring, great for under it, no moisture gets thru to floor. Barrier under laminate in office with concrete floors and walls.

The Barrier has been rigorously tested to ASTM procedure C-518. The test data results are that The Barrier has a K-Value of .6 per 3/8". This means the material has been engineered to resist 99.981% of the heat / cold flow in an underground insulation application.

While the above performance numbers are extremely impressive - as you know - there are two parts to an effective underground insulation product. The second key aspect is a materials Water Permeability. Without an excellent moisture and vapor barrier in an underground insulation material - its K-Value is meaningless.
